This is a medium to large classic handwoven French market basket with short fat handles in emerald green leather.  The basket is woven with green and purple palm strips. It can be held in your hands as an everyday basket. 

Most popular as a beach basket or shopping basket and a great alternative to the shopping bag as it is like a straw basket or a wicker basket but woven from palm leaves, so very strong and sustainable.
